Megan Drew creates vibrant worlds on canvas.
At 30, she's was a full-time artist with an evolving style. Her pieces reflect life in rich color - jazz musicians, Pike Place Public Market, landscapes, roads, fields and sky. Although Drew works in many media, pastel has particular charm.
"I started off doing commercial illustration, logo design, things like that," she said. "I did not enjoy it. I couldn't work in pastel."
Inspiration comes from old books, her own photographs and sketches. She believes in the power of community and loves to draw people in groups.
